Hey Guys,

I am asked all the time about my throwing program.

How much do I throw?

When do I long toss?

When do I throw a bullpen?

etc etc….

Here is a couple things to consider with your throwing program…

When you throw long toss. You need to throw very far.

But here is the problem with long toss. By the time actually get to the distance you need to gain throwing strength, you are fatigued.

This comes from throwing too many throws at a short distance.

Most of the time, we get scared of throwing too far too soon. This is understandable. But you don’t have to throw the ball 60 times to long toss. You can plan out a specific warm up routine at an exact distance.

Actually, the more exact you warm up, the more your body is used to the exact number of throws to get loose. You adapt.
