Rotator Cuff Exercsies Pro Tip: Try This Small Change for Your Shoulder Exercises

Hey there,

Try something for me.

Grab a 5 pound dumbbell and do a shoulder flexion and a shoulder abduction. But I want you to test two different things. The first time, hold the dumbbell in your palm, with your full fist and fingers around the dumbbell. Do the exercises. See how you feel.

Now try this…

Hold the dumbbell in your finger tips. And do the same exercises. How does it feel?

You should notice right away that your rotator cuff is more activated holding the dumbell in your finger tips!

This is very important. You will see faster gains when you make this small change, just by doing these workouts in your finger tips.

Here are the two moves you should try….

Shoulder Flexion Thumbs Up

Instructions: Stand straight with both arms straight at your side. Now hold a 5-pound weight in your left hand. Pointing your thumb up, slowly move your left arm upwards. Bring your arm to your shoulder level. Hold this position for a second than slowly return to the starting position.

Focus: Your focus should be on keeping your elbow straight and your thumb upwards.
Feeling: You should feel resistance in the front of your shoulder.

Key points: Hold weight firmly in your finger tips. Breathe normally and make a smooth movement upwards and downwards.

Time or Reps: Complete 3 sets of 10 reps.

Difficulty level: 1 of 5
